What started in 1990 as the first decadent chocolate shop in the heart of Nelson BC has evolved into a micro factory, where high quality, decadent chocolate bars and confections are created with natural ingredients. Nelson's Chocofellar currently produces 11 chocolate bars and 27 different truffles, pralines, caramels and seasonal confections.
We produce 50% of our own chocolate needs with single origin sustainable cocoa beans which are grown, harvested, fermented and sold by small municipal farms located in the North East mountains of Colombia. We directly support their economy and reduce our overall carbon footprint, while guaranteeing you a superior product with a clear, distinguishable DNA.
On April 2, 1990, Sam Lazenby and Hollie Wheeler opened up shop in Nelson, BC and did their very first delivery to the local markets. 31 years have passed, and Nelson's Chocofellar is now distributed across the Kootenays, serving the communities of Nelson, Kaslo, Salmo and Rossland.
We carefully select chocolate, cacao and other ingredients for our production that are of high quality and from sustainable, reputable sources. In an order to further reduce our waste, we also purposefully select a packaging that is both attractive and minimal for all our regular products.
